Contribute Research
Members can submit research, analysis, reports, datasets and resources for review. Nothing publishes automatically; nothing about submitting changes your privacy; and you can publish under your real name, a professional name, or an alias — displayed identically.
The Knowledge Center should outgrow its founding research — carefully.
Every factual claim about Iran's conditions must carry a source.
We are not asking you to prove your conclusions — we are asking you to show where your numbers came from, so a reader can check them. A named institution, a report title, a date and a link is enough. Where a figure is contested, say so and give both. Where you are interpreting rather than reporting, mark it as your interpretation.
Submissions asserting national-scale figures without a source will be returned, not rejected — we will ask you for the source first.
How review works
Draft → Submitted → Under review → Changes requested (back to you) or Approved → Published. Rejected submissions stay private to you, with the reason recorded. Approved is not yet public — timing is a separate decision. You can withdraw at any time, including for your safety, and withdrawal removes the item from every public surface.
Screening also covers: falsified or manipulated data, plagiarism, authorship fraud, citation manipulation, undisclosed AI use (disclosed AI assistance is acceptable — AI is never an author), and content that would endanger the author or a named third party.
Reviewed for appropriateness — not peer-reviewed.
Iran Builders reviews contributions for relevance, sourcing and safety. We do not independently verify every statement, and publication does not constitute endorsement of the author's conclusions. The author is responsible for the accuracy of their work. Sources are listed so you can check it yourself.
Publish as yourself — or not
Real name, professional name, or alias: all three are equally valid and displayed identically. The identity behind an alias is held privately and never rendered anywhere, at any visibility tier.
Your privacy as a contributor
Publishing research never changes your contact-visibility setting, and never exposes your contact details, city, or employer (unless you declare it in the affiliation field). Your existing privacy choice remains authoritative.
Boundaries written into the terms
- Cybersecurity and Telecommunications: nothing that strengthens surveillance, filtering or interception capability.
- Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals & Mining, and the Fund & Invest contribution mode: displayed compliance notices apply — members should take their own advice.
- No political advocacy: analysis of policy is in scope; advocacy for a political outcome is not.

Have research others could use?
If you have studied something that bears on this — a paper, a dataset, a field report — send it. Submissions are read by a reviewer. Publishing is a separate decision from accepting, and nothing goes on this page automatically.
Submitting does not publish. Your work stays private to you and the reviewer until a reviewer publishes it, and you can withdraw it before review begins.
