Peyman S. Ghasemi

Founder of Iran Builders · Civil engineer & licensed builder-developer

Peyman is a civil engineer and a licensed builder, with twenty-six years of work in construction and engineering across Iran, South Korea and Canada. He started out in Tehran, designing roads and railways and working on national road-safety projects, and he holds a First-Grade professional engineering licence from Iran. He later set up an export company in South Korea, with a branch in China. Since moving to Canada he has run his own building firm in Ottawa, My Home Builders, where he has built and delivered around CAD 15 million of housing as a Tarion- and HCRA-licensed builder, and he now manages custom, energy-efficient homes on an open-book basis. Along the way he has started other companies too, in cabinetry, importing, print and software. The thread running through all of it is the same: he takes an idea and gets it built.

Why he built it

Iran will need to be rebuilt one day, and many of the people who could do it are living outside the country, already doing this kind of work somewhere else. Peyman started Iran Builders so those people can find one another, get a clear picture of what Iran actually needs, and be ready when the time comes. It is tied to no party and no political group. It is simply Iranians who want to help, gathered in one place, so that goodwill spread across the world can turn into work that actually gets done.
